BUENOS AIRES, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Rodrigo Castillo scored twice as Lanus secured its first win of the Argentine Primera Division Clausura season with a 2-0 away victory over Sarmiento on Friday.
The visitors took the lead in the 10th minute when Castillo met Franco Watson's floating free-kick with a bullet header into the top-left corner.
The 26-year-old striker doubled the advantage just before halftime with a first-time effort from close range following Felipe Pena's cross.
It marked Lanus' first win in three games this campaign and leaves the club ninth in the 15-team Group B standings. Sarmiento is 12th and still searching for its first victory.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Friday, Union Santa Fe was held to a goalless home draw by Tigre and Belgrano drew 0-0 at Independiente Rivadavia. ■
