SINGAPORE, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Australia's Rhiannan Iffland claimed her fifth straight women's high diving world title at the World Aquatics Championships here on Saturday, continuing her dominance in the sport with a total score of 359.25 points.

Competing at the Palawan Green in Sentosa, the 33-year-old maintained her composure despite a weather-induced delay and delivered a strong final-round performance, securing her record-extending fifth crown in the event.

"It's insane, I'm blown away," said Iffland. "I came into this event knowing I could be fighting for it, but it wasn't my main goal. I never would have thought 10 years ago I would be holding my fifth medal."

"Every year is different, every competition is different. But my mentality is always the same. I always come in trying to put on a good show and to get four consistent dives," Iffland added.

Canada's Simone Leathead finished second with 314.50 points, earning her first medal at the World Championships. Maya Kelly of the United States, the youngest competitor in the field at age 18, captured the bronze with 310.00 points.

The men's high diving final is scheduled for Sunday, marking the conclusion of high diving competitions at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships.
