MEXICO CITY, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has signed on to coach Mexico's second division football club Dorados de Sinaloa, the team announced on Thursday.

Maradona, 57, is to be officially presented as coach on Sunday in Culiacan, Mexico.

"The Argentinian will take over the reins of the Big Fish!" the team said on its website, referring to its namesake, the game fish dorado.

Maradona won't be the only Argentine member of the club. Dorados goalkeeper Gaspar Servio, also Argentinian, celebrated the news, by saying "it's a beautiful thing to have the greatest of all coach us. We need a coach like Diego."

The 26-year-old, who joined the Dorados from River Plate, told Argentina's TyC Sports channel that all five Argentine players on the team "are surprised and super happy to hear the news."

Culiacan "is a very tranquil, very nice city... there's going to be a revolution when Diego comes," he said.

The team's home stadium can accommodate 22,000 people and will "surely fill up" when Maradona hits the scene, he added.?
