RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- An opinion poll on Tuesday showed that Brazil's far-right presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro stayed ahead of leftist Workers Party rival Fernando Haddad in this month's election.

According to Datafolha published on late Tuesday, Bolsonaro had 32 percent of voting intentions in the stimulated first-round vote, four percentage points higher than the previous Datafolha poll on Sept. 28. Haddad dropped one point to 21 percent.

In the third place, Ciro Gomes remained stable at 11 percent. Geraldo Alckmin's voting intentions fell one point to 9 percent, followed by Marina Silva, who fell from five to four percent.

Datafolha's poll confirmed an Ibope survey released on Monday that showed Bolsonaro's advance since last week.

Bolsonaro's rejection rate remained high in the poll although it decreased one point to 45 percent, as some of his remarks against women and same-sex marriage have generated public criticism and protests.

The poll was carried out on Tuesday by surveying 3,240 voters across Brazil. The poll's margin of error is two points.
